As we have seen in previous sections, computers are capable of a wide range of abilites. In this section, we will be taking a closer look at presentation software, specifically, Microsoft® PowerPoint™.

Find and open the PowerPoint™ application on your hard drive.

(Path = Macintosh HD:Applications:Microsoft Office:Microsoft PowerPoint).

You will see the following screen:

Select "PowerPoint Presentation". Either double click that icon, or simply press "Open". (If you're really adventerous, you can press the "Return" key!)
This creates a new slide show project you. By default, the first slide is, as shown here, a title slide. Here you can input the title of your presentation to be displayed, as well as a subtitle, if you wish. You can also set the background of the slide, insert images, manage the transitions, as well as myriad other tasks we will delve further into later. For now, let's look at modifying the text of this slide.
